Relatives of disappeared renew their demand for justice

NEWS DESK (DİHA) - The human rights activists and relatives of disappeared asked the aftermathes of lost people in their sit-in acts in Diyarbakır, Batman, Yüksekova and Urfa. They repeated their demand for justice and reminded that the struggle of Saturday Mothers was in the 20th year.

DİYARBAKIR

The human rights activists and relatives of disappeared asked the aftermathes of lost people, who had been murdered by the JITEM, in the act in Diyarbakir. The Human Rights Association (IHD) Diyarbakir Branch have held sit-in act for the 329th week in front of Kosuyolu Park Life Right Memorial.

The mothers and relatives carrying the placard "The perpetrators are evident, where are the murderers?" and the photographs of people, who were lost and sacrificed to unresolved murders, demanding justice for missing with carnations on their hands. The IHD executives, Peace Mothers Assembly, Party of Democratic Regions (DBP) co-mayors, HDP (Peoples' Democratic Party) deputy candidates, unions representatives and lots of citizens took part in the act.

'Turkish troops massacred both of my daughters'

They asked aftermathes of Mümine and Tayyibe Sincar sisters who were massacred by Turkish special operationist teams in Midyat district of Mardin in 1994. İHD Branch Executive lawyer Mahsun Kaya reminded their mother Türkiye Sincar's interview for time's Özgür Ülke paper, noting: "Turkish special operation teams raided our village. They began to shoot and massacred both of my daughters. The prosecutor did not carry out autopsy inspite of all our applications".

The act ended in the wake of a 10-minutes sit-in act.

BATMAN

IHD Batman Branch, and relatives of disappeared gathering for repeating their demand for "justice" for enforced disappearances and unsolved murders have held their "The perpetrators are evident, where are the murderers?" act in Gülistan Avenue for 329th week. Relatives of missing, DBP and HDP executives, IHD Batman Branch and KURDÎ-DER executives, MEYA-DER, non-governmental organizations representatives and a numerous of citizens participated into the action.

İHD Batman Branch Head Mehmet Bağatır reminded that the struggle of Saturday Mothers at Galatasaray Square was on 20th year, renewing the demands of the mothers. The citizens held a 5-minutes sit-in-act and ended their act.

YÜKSEKOVA

Human rights defenders and relatives of missings in Yüksekova district of Hakkari came together at Art Square. Mothers gathered for repeating their demand for "justice" for enforced disappearances and unresolved murders. The mothers and relatives carrying the placard "The perpetrators are evident, where are the murderers?" and the photographs of people, who were lost and sacrificed to unresolved murders.

Justice demanded for Kurdish businessmen

The activists distributed carnations and lighted candles before the statement. The 61st week of the act was dedicated Kurdish businessmen Savaş Buldan, Adnan Yıldırım and Hacı Karay who were abducted in Bolu and victimized of "unresolved murder" in 3 June 1994. Karay's brother Arif Karay said the massacres of Tansu Çiller, Mehmet Ağar and their gangs were covered by the AKP government.

The action ended in the wake of a 5-minutes sit-in act.

URFA

IHD officials gathered in province of Urfa to ask for justice for missing people by virtue of the week of missing people. They repeated the demand for "justice" for enforced disappearances and unresolved murders.

In the statement, it has been underlined that missing and mass graves is a truth of the country. İHD Branch Head Atilla Yazar said confrontation was required for the country and fpr this a legal regulation was needed.
